I was asked, do I have instagram?

This question then continued to a discussion about how people decades ago kept sane without media that give them space to express their feeling and get responds from it.

These days you have various medium to express your emotion, you can tweet, make stories in instagram or whatsapp, make vlog, speak at podcast, write a blog (?). Even tough, it can't solve your problem  most of the time, but you feel a little bit better after doing so. Also, an addition of comments,  replies, or notifications usually make you happy, give you a pleasure feeling that you are noticed. You check phone all the time and sometimes get an empty feeling if there is no notification pop up, no chat, or no likes, especially from someone the most you'd expected.

But, this was different with people decades ago, they don't have access to such media and they were looked fine. I've just read about paradox, they said, the easier our live, the more we get anxious.

We then conclude that more and more people need validation, that they are exist in the world.

No longer after the discussion, I listened (if i can call them) my friends's podcast, and I found the same reason why they made it, to be famous, to tell people that they ever been existed in this world (?), beside to share their point of view, and any other normative reason.

So, they make podcast, about life guide (?), that give suggestion about what should do or should not do. But, after that, I am wondering, what do you call as success in life? How far do you think it is under your control? Why do people want to leave remark on their life - or legacy, and should we do have some too?

Well, I don't know.

But, let me discuss about rizq. Some people is given great lucks in their life. beautiful face, smart brain, rich family, smooth career, attractive personality, great partner, best friend, sexy body (?), or any other privileges.

But how if, you have done all the suggestion, you have worked really hard, but you still find that your life is not as great as they have?

You start to get jealous. You start to think that life is unfair.

I will say this. Sometimes life is not as smooth as you wished. There is no any single solution of your problem in life, but you have an option to make your life to the the greatest (with your own values).

This kind of reality that i think should (younger) people to know and learn:
How to struggle with your problem (that sometimes you just realize in the early of adult life and get shocked), keep sane, survive well, and make your life the most of it.

Everyone has their own journey and their own process. We have regrets in life, we do have so many, that sometimes makes you wish you can turn back time, fix your decision. In the struggling of many things we have to face, can't we just not make it worsen. Can't we support each other, instead of compare achievement, who's get the highest GPA, who's the first to get job, who's have the biggest salary, who's the fastest graduates, etc (even sometimes this kind of topic is used as a nostalgic).

Well, people need achievement, but can't I wish to stop thinking that life is competition (even though it is).

I just want to share my point of view and don't have any intention to give judgement. I know that people have their own values that I should respect.

In general, the podcast is funny enough, a kind of discussion that sometimes you find when hanging out with male friends (oh please, I am not gender-shaming). Or maybe because male tend to compete, I don't know, but I think female is also not less competitive.

Well, having discussion with good friend will always be exciting for me.

Warmest,
Ayu
