Why she sit next to you, yet not talk to you?

Gue bukan tipe orang yang, let say, extroverted. Ini bukan sekali atau dua kali, gue ngga nyapa kalau ketemu seseorang. I need to make my self sure to say hi to someone. So, sometimes I prefer to pretend to not know or to not see her/him. But if she/he greet me first, I will happily respond in a good way. If no, it means I really do not recognize it.

Bukan karena gue sombong, atau pilih-pilih teman, but simply karena gue takut, ketika gue sapa, orang itu ngga kenal gue, ngga tau nama gue, atau ngga sadar gue sapa. Dari dulu, gue bukan termasuk geng populer, jadi ya udah biasa ngga dikenal dan sering dilupakan, haha.

Then, sometimes, awkward moment happened. Ketika orang yang gue kenal duduk deket gue, and I just pretend to not know her/him. Gue jadi ngerasa ngga enak and feel guilty, karena ngga nyapa atau bertindak ramah. But, I just don't know how. I don't know what should I do.

Gue bukan tipe orang yang gampang small talk. If I am asking something, I really mean it.

So, if you, in some way, read this post, and meet that kind of situation with me, I really am sorry. I just don't know how to start a talk, a conversation.

And may be we can meet again in better situation.

Why would she sit next to you, yet not talk to you? Because she is painfully shy. Instead of trying to guess what she's thinking, talk to her. Borrow a pen. Ask a question. Say hi. Strike up a conversation. Ask for lunch. And the way she responds will let you know more than trying to read her mind does (Quora, edited).
